December marks the 50th anniversary of the beloved animated tale, “A Charlie Brown Christmas”, and this year’s episode is scheduled to be even more special than in years past.
Famed television and movie actress, Kristen Bell will be hosting a unique holiday retrospective of the Peanuts tale on the ABC Television Network. The show will air Monday, November 30 – just in time to get the world in the holiday spirit.
The anniversary special of this classic tale will celebrate 50 years with an unforgettable night, featuring live performances of the Vince Guaraldi’s classic pieces from several musical guests. It will also feature different Hollywood stars talking about their favorite moments of the classic “A Charlie Brown Christmas”.
The show, which will air on ABC from 9:00 to 10:00 p.m. ET, will feature a digitally remastered version of the Peanuts classic, where Charlie Brown seems to not be able to feel the holiday spirit until he becomes the director of the Christmas Pageant. Through the struggles of this attempt – Charlie not only finds the spirit, but discovers the true meaning of Christmas.
Bell is no stranger to hosting specials. The beautiful star has also hosted the American Country Music Awards several years in row – bringing humor and light to the evening episodes.
The Peanuts comic strip, drawn by the late Charles M. Schultz, debuted in American newspapers in 1950. Now the famed gang has products selling all over the world and has appeared in many television specials.
It is reported that 20th Century Fox and Blue Sky Studios are going to release a much anticipated Peanuts movie later this fall.
